Blessed

All my life i was always gripped with the paranoia that no one would remember my birthday, that i would die without anyone knowing. Its a groundless and irrational fear, but still a fear nonetheless. I remember as a kid i would give out sweets to my classmates because "its my birthday", i had to let people know. Conversely, since I'm now 22, I'm kinda at the wrong side of 21 (which, the 21st was by far was the most memorable birthday bash ever, no need to celebrate liao), so i did not tell anyone this year. Hey, i have mooting exams on thurs as well, so what the heck, birthdays are unimportant anyway just study la, its jus another day that will pass like Valentine's day to a lonely bachelor.

I dun really know how, maybe its ICQ or somethin, but they remember. Everyone seems to know. And i spent half my life trying to get people to remember my birthday... this year i thought just because i did not drop hints it would be a quiet one. Wrong, wrong wrong.

Kaoz. Carol! HanBin! Janice! Korene! etc all standing outside my house with a cake and guitar. I almost flipped. And i was wearing my favourite christmas boxers. Tak glam. Came in and helped themselves to the cake, talked cock abit etc etc Z:)


They are gone now, but i am really extremely touched and surprised this year, precisely because i expected it to be a quiet one. Ok. I shall go to bed feeling warm and fuzzy now. heck the moots. :) Meeting the drivers for birthday lunch tomorrow, and lookin forward to Jap dinner with Dad and Mom.
