new Moon

and there it was, that strange sense of calm, when you turn around and expect something to happen, then you realise that it is over and it will never be coming back again

No more contacting the station ics, no more persuading people to help, no more organising everything, no more herding people making them do stuff, no more planning this and that, no more writing proposals for stations, no more trying to siam things in order to get a decent night's sleep. No more, no more, for it is over.

I can't remember how many times in my life i felt like that. After stepping down from Prefectorial Board Comm, after Army, after Marshall Beasley Oratorical Contest last year, and now, and ESPECIALLY now, after Law Camp and Matriculation week. I decided not to write immediately after it was over because it was nothing but euphoria and relief. I wanted to reflect once the dust has settled and i was in a better frame of mind.

-Flashback end of beach bash-

me, Weiting, Dave, William, Michael, peiching, Huiting and Hanzhong were lazing on the beach chair, and it was a "precious moments" kindof moment... that one year on, the same clique from OG 1 the "Philipino Phartners" have stuck thru law sch together and have now completed a major project. Dave brought a bottle of 1999 Sauvignon which we all toasted, and i guess at the end of the day its moments like these that really outweigh the fatigue. And believe me, my role was exhausting.

-Aftertots-

Seriously, i have been a slacker all my life and it was only in Uni that i started helping out in large-scale (to my own tunnel visioned opinion) events. This has brought tremendous amounts of experience and other stuff, mostly self reflections which i would not type here. I enjoyed the whole experience, but i would never do it again. Quest entailed me acting as a ghost, with the coolest costume of the lot, white cape, hood and a knife sticking out of my bloodied back....Yes yes yes, no more jokes about me being backstabbed la.,.. lame. Had loads of fun scaring people... I amazed myself at my "creativity" under the situations haha, only gripe is that my OG didnt pass thru cos of time factors, and i have to put on makeup. yerks.

Well, it wasn't that bad actually. I was blessed and had a united OG, one that bothered to take initiative to talk to me and get to know me better even though i was not their OGL... (they kept calling me OGL la those buggers :) ) and getting to work with some wonderful people in Law that i never knew existed. Also, getting into PGP has really raised my spirits high.... Marc and I were already discussing supper at Fong seng with with Shinmin and Lionel et all (who still owes me my badminton racquet OEI!), and the term is starting soon i am glad that i have a PURPOSE again. Can;t wait for school to start i really hope i get a good TG.... *prays*
