Faith

This article would probably be titled "Crash", if not for the intervening talk that i had with Carol over dinner on tuesday.

There is a reason why i'm burning out. I'm taking the burden solely on myself. School. Family. Love. Social Obligations. Work. Church. Throwing Japanese, photography and music theory off the ship has not mitigated the continuous sink. Everything is on my shoulders, weighing me down and stunting my growth. Sometimes i just wish to throw everything away and just escape somewhere, where nobody needs me, where i don't have any obligations, and most of all NO WORK.

If i only took home one phrase from the dinner, it would be "Just do your best, let God do the rest". Really, my relationship with God had clearly suffered as of late, somehow i did not even read the Bible... But for this week it was a daily affair, and every word seemed to speak to me, about overcoming trials and tribulations, about obedience, about loving God, the Commandments, everything that i actually already knew at the back of my mind but never applied due to all the mundane stuff that has been clouding my mind. I got my priorities so, so wrong. I have let myself get swallowed by things that do not matter, and my sights has not been focused on a God-centred life.

This week, i felt as if i have soared to heaven on angel's wings, as my burdens are now with Him, and i trust that he would see me through. Such peace i have not enjoyed in quite a while.
